YOGIBEE CHILDREN’S YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

A training program for parents, teachers, yogis and everyone passionate about children and spirituality.

This is a spirited and practical children’s yoga training program – providing teachings in conscious parenting and communication with children and sharing the benefits of yoga for children and families. The course is based on the kundalini yoga teachings by Yogi Bhajan.

Open to all levels of experience with yoga and children.

Course Outline:
~ Preparing ourselves spiritually and mentally to teach yoga to children
~ Conscious communication – with ourselves and children
~ Parenting and yogic teachings
~ Yogic tools to help parents and teachers to stay calm and centered
~ Tips to keep children focused, positive and engaged
~ Yoga classes for children of different ages and stages (covers babies and toddlers)
~ Yoga storytelling for young yogis (sample story ideas and authors to adapt to yoga that are culturally appropriate)
~ Developing theme based classes (sample classes/lesson plans provided)
~ Child and teen friendly meditation and relaxation techniques
~ Pranayama/breathing techniques and games for teachers, children and teens
~ Partner and group yoga
~ Yogi inspired songs and activities to share with children
~ Yoga games – fun and meditative yoga games/art to inspire creativity, intuition and connection
~ Yoga for the differently abled (ADD, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy)
~Yoga tools for schools (plans included)
~ Incorporating yoga into family life
~ Yogic inspired food – feeding the mind, body and spirit

About the Facilitator:
Siri Mukta’s yoga practice is with adults, children and their families. With a passion she assists to open the hearts and minds of children, inspiring them to search deeper, seek further and explore their own inner gifts. Siri Mukta began her career in Communications.

After the birth of her first child in 1998, she felt a deep need for programs to equip children to enjoy life through a strong sense of self and purpose, non-competitive exercise and skills to calm and encourage their natural radiance. With this inner strength children have the ability to adapt to and initiate positive change and to confidently create their lives and community.

Yogibee, founded by Siri Mukta, is dedicated to helping adults and children be yogic in everyday life. Yogibee has the privilege and joy of accepting invitations to share yoga nationally and internationally (Australia, Cambodia, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand). Siri Mukta trained with Shakta Kaur Khalsa (and brought her to Australia) to become a Radiant Child Yoga Program Teacher Trainer. She is a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor (KYTANZ), a RCYP children’s yoga teacher (Levels 1-3), has completed Yoga for the Special Child (Level 1) with Sonia Sumar and Conscious Pregnancy with Tarn Taran Kaur. She is a Radiant Child Yoga Program trainer in Europe and Asia and taught the program since 2007.

She has been teaching and advocating yoga for children since 2002. She teaches intuitively and from the heart. As a yoga practitioner for over 20 years Siri Mukta continues to inspire with the gift of yoga.
