| Asokan |
|

|
Asokan has been practicing and teaching yoga for more than half a decade now. He has always been passionate about physical fitness, and started his journey as a national long distance runner in Malaysia after which he had a successful career as a gym fitness instructor in Singapore.
When he was 33 he discovered the mental, physical and spiritual benefits of yoga, and realized that he had found his path in this life. As someone who discovered an innate ability and passion fairly late in life, he strongly believes that the same could be true for many others. This belief drives his teaching, as he tries to help his students on their journey of deeper self discovery.
Asokan received his teacher training from the Sivananda school and the Swami Vivekenanda Yoga Research Foundation (SVYASA) in Singapore as well as the Bihar school of yoga in Bangalore. He has also received teacher training in Family Yoga from Global Family Yoga. He is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher. |

| Joni |
|

|
Joni first came across Yoga about 7 years ago. At that time, she had just completed her MBA and was attending Yoga classes over Friday nights and weekends. When she completed the MBA course, she was looking for some kind of activity or sport to fill up her time and also to find relaxation from her hectic work schedule. So she signed up for Yoga classes.
What she found was that the more she practised, the more she understood herself and enhanced her personal growth. This created positive changes in her life and also marked her first step into the holistic journey of Yoga.
She took up a Yoga Teacher Training Course under Shiva Yoga Kendra and graduated with a International Diploma in Ashtanga Yoga in November 2005. She has been teaching since then.
For Joni, Yoga is a lifelong journey. It allows one to rest the mind and experience life to its fullest. She hopes to help everyone achieve tranquility, self awareness and a positive attitude towards life. |

| Raymond |
|

|
Raymond's foray into yoga began in 2001 where his early inspirations were Brian Kest, Baron Baptiste and Beryl Bender Birch. When he moved to Hong Kong in 2005, what began as a cursory interest in yoga developed into a lifelong commitment towards Self realization when he undertook his teacher’s training. He is intrigued by the integrated approach which yoga provides towards understanding the self from a physical, mental and spiritual perspective. He is grateful to the many gurus who have been influential in opening his eyes to yoga and the immense richness it portrays on Life. These teachers include Wanda Hewitt, Patrick Creelman, Desiree Rambaugh, Francis Gairns, David Life and Sharon Gannon, David Swenson, Ramanan Patel, Shiva Rea, Mark Whitwell and countless other teachers who have so instrumentally given inspirational classes, workshops and imparted their pearls of wisdom and shaktipat.
Raymond continues to be committed to sharing his personal experiences on yoga whenever he can, as he believes in the healing and energizing power of the discipline. His main inspiration is the Anusara style of yoga which he believes to be compassionate and life enhancing. The teacher’s job is essentially to unlock the beauty of Life already found within each individual.

Theera's yoga journey started eight years ago at the Bikram Yoga studio in Bangkok. | Tina |

![]()
|
Tina’s interest for fitness started from rock climbing. Rock climbing stretches and strengthen her physically and mentally, trains her analytical skills and put her determination to test.
To Tina, Yoga is in many ways similar to rock climbing. Besides the stretching and strengthening, it is also a powerful tool for self-discovery, healing and finding inner peace. Over the years, Tina has grown and benefited from her practice.
Greatly inspired by her two wonderful boys and supportive husband coupled with the encouragement from her Yoga Teacher, Tina decided to enroll in Teacher Trainings to further deepen her practice and equip herself with the right skills and knowledge to share this wonderful gift with others.
She took her first Teacher Training from Yogakids International by Marsha Wenig in 2004. Over the years, she has attended the Yoga for the Special Child Certification Program by Sonia Sumar and was certified and trained directly by Master Sivaram in the Sivananda tradition.
Today, Yoga has become an integral part of her life. She finds it extremely rewarding to share her yoga knowledge and experience with students. She now teaches yoga to children, adults and family.
“Every practice is a commitment to embark on a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance and cultivating compassion for all beings along the way.”
